Coaching

I coach people through change — the kind that has stalled, or that has never had a proper structure around it.

For three and a half years, until October 2025, I worked as a Health and Wellbeing Coach in the NHS with Regents Health PCN, taking GP referrals across two of the busiest surgeries in the network. I now work with private clients, and I design and deliver group workshops for organisations and community groups.

What I work on

Emotional wellbeing — low mood, stress, anxiety, and the periods where everything feels heavier than it should.

Living with a health condition — long-term and serious diagnoses, and the work of building a life around them rather than under them.

Life and direction — employment and career, lifestyle, diet and activity, family and relationships.

Sessions are one to one, structured around goals we agree at the outset, with progress reviewed as we go rather than left to impression.

How I work

I trained and worked for two decades in theatre before I came to coaching, and it shapes the way I practise. Alongside conventional coaching technique I use imagination, improvisation and drama-based exercises, so that people can rehearse a change in the room before attempting it in their lives. It works particularly well in groups, and with people who find talking-only formats difficult — the ones who arrive with their arms folded.

I hold the PCI-accredited Health Coaching Development Programme and an enhanced DBS check.

Groups and organisations

I design and deliver workshops on wellbeing, communication, confidence and resilience. Recent work includes staff wellbeing sessions for GP practice teams, and commissioned programmes for adults managing anxiety with Kilburn Mile (2024 and 2025) and South Kilburn Trust (2023).

An especially important aspect of Julia's regime of care was her ability to make me feel empowered and in control of my future. She assured me that things would get better, not because of destiny, but because of my own tenacity and will.
